How does the zipline work?

You check in at the Hòfi Mango entrance. After the safety briefing you get your harness and helmet, and a shuttle takes you to the starting point on the hill. Then you go down line by line, with short walks between the lines.

Guides clip you on and off at every line, so all you have to do is let go. Afterwards you can stay in the park until closing time, for example for lunch at the Kultura Kòrsou restaurant.

Afraid of heights? Many people with a mild fear of heights still do it, because you are clipped in and do not have to steer. If you are unsure, see how the first line feels. More ideas with kids in Curaçao with children.

What to wear and bring

  • Comfortable clothing; shorts or sportswear are fine.
  • Closed shoes, such as sneakers. Flip-flops and sandals are not allowed.
  • Sunscreen and a bottle of water: Bandabou is hot and there is little shade.
  • A phone only on a strap or in a zipped pocket. Whatever drops is gone.
  • Long hair in a ponytail, so it stays out of the harness.

Hòfi Mango: the park and the guided tour

Hòfi Mango is a historic estate with a mango forest of more than 800 trees, an old sugar mill and viewpoints over the hills. On the Hofi Mango Tour (€ 20 per adult) you walk through the park with a guide in about an hour.

The tour runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 or 10:00 am. Plan it on the same day as the zipline and you have a great morning in the park.

Combining it with the west side

Hòfi Mango is in Bandabou, close to the best bays. After the zipline you can drive to Grote Knip or Cas Abao in about fifteen minutes to cool off. For more nature, Christoffel Park and Shete Boka are nearby too.

A complete day route is in Westpunt in one day. No car? Read Curaçao without a rental carfirst, as there are no convenient buses to Hòfi Mango.
