The PADI Open Water Dive Course is one of the most popular Dive Courses in the world! In addition to the safe and fun design of this program, certification as an Open Water diver gives the advantage that you can and are allowed to dive independently with your buddy. During this Open Water diving course you will, in a playful way and under the guidance of an experienced diving instructor, perform various diving exercises and you will be trained in fundamental diving theory.

During the PADI Open Water Dive course you will gain in-depth knowledge of the basics of diving. You will learn the basic diving skills, how to use the basic diving equipment including a dive computer and other diving accessories and how to dive with a dive buddy. In 3 days you will be trained in theory and practical experience to be a responsible open water diver.
You start the course with dive theory. You can go through this completely before the start of the practice because the interactive PADI e-learning is used. When you start with the practice at the diving school, you only have to dive. In three days you do 5 skill sessions in which you learn to recognize and solve problems. You do this in the bay of Jan Thiel in front of the diving school. This way you get used to the movement of the sea and the salt water. After the skill sessions you are well equipped to enjoy the underwater world in a relaxed way. During the four open water dives you apply the skills you have learned in the open sea. The first two open water dives are on the house reef in front of the diving school and go to a depth of max. 12 meters. The last two open water dives are at two other beautiful dive spots on the island.
After completing the theory, skill sessions and four open water dives, you are a certified PADI Open Water Diver, which means you can dive without an instructor, but always with a buddy. The PADI Open Water Diver certification is recognized worldwide.
