A Buggy & Boat Combi-Tour with the ultimate combination of the best of Curacao! Snorkel in the Blue Room and marvel at the blow hole ‘Suplado’ at Boka Patrick.
With the six-wheel buggy you will be taken to the beautiful nature on the rugged north side of the island. Then you will drive via a scenic route through the interior to the fishing port of San Juan. In this private port the boat, the Barku Bèrdè, is ready to sail you comfortably to the Blue Room. You end the morning with a delicious lunch at a local snèk.
All this takes place in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, with a maximum of 7 people.
What does the tour look like?
You start the Buggy & Boat Combi-Tour at half past eight at the church of San Jose, in the center of Barber. From here you leave for the mondi (forest) of Boka Patrick. Via an off-road route, which is not accessible with a rental car, you enjoy the vast nature of Curaçao. You will encounter various birds, iguanas and maybe even a white-tailed deer. You will visit the famous inlet of Boka Patrick with its snow-white waves. After this you can freshen up in the only natural jacuzzi of Curaçao, the Suplado. The perfect place for a new profile picture!
After a short stop for a cold drink you drive to the kunuku (countryside) of Banda Bou. Here you will be told more about the residents, the houses and the gardens. You will be amazed by the peace and space on this green side of the island.
On the San Juan estate you will see the old country house known from the film Tula. After driving through a forest with beautiful tall trees, you arrive at the private fishing port of the Schotborgh family. In this ancient port, the beautiful green boat is already waiting.
Then it is time to sail out. Along the coast of Santa Martha and San Nicolas, among others, you sail quietly towards the Blue Room. On the way you enjoy the clear blue water, flying fish, the breathtaking view of the island from the sea and, if you are lucky, we even see dolphins.
After docking at the mushroom forest, you can disembark to snorkel to the cave. Here you have all the time to explore the underwater world. After swimming, a cold drink is ready for you. After sailing past six(!) untouched beaches of Banda Bou, the boat docks again in our own harbor.
From here you head to the 4th of July snèk, where you will enjoy an authentic Barber lunch. This is the time to have a quiet chat or have a conversation with the friendly locals who appreciate this snèk.
Then it is unfortunately time to say goodbye, but you are guaranteed to have gained a great impression of Banda Bou with the Buggy & Boat Combi-Tour!

We did the combo tour (buggy and boat). It was a fantastic day, really well organized! Friendly, small-scale, informative, and we visited some great places you wouldn't normally see. Highly recommended, especially if you're not into touristy excursions.
We took an amazing safari tour through the lesser-known parts of Banda Abou. Even the two former locals on board visited places they had little or no idea of. Afterward, we took a boat trip along the coast and snorkeled at the unforgettable Blue Room (cave). After the return trip, a delicious and varied barbecue awaited us at a beautiful private beach, where we enjoyed the meal, the company, and the sunset. According to our hosts, we were the first to complete this triathlon. We highly recommend it.
We had a fantastic tour today with Arie Jan and Peter from Banda Abou Tours. We've been living on the island for a year and a half now, but we saw and heard so many new things. These two men do their work with great pleasure and passion, and it shows. No routine, regurgitated stories, but enthusiastic narration and fun facts, like a short music quiz. Finally, we enjoyed a barbecue on a deserted beach with a beautiful sunset. Highly recommended if you enjoy venturing off the beaten track.
