The beach of Klein Bonaire, also called No Name Beach, is considered by many visitors to be the most beautiful beach in the Bonaire area. This uninhabited islet lies just off the coast of Kralendijk and has a long stretch of white sand with clear, shallow water that slopes gently. Excellent coral is also found just offshore, making it a popular snorkeling spot. Klein Bonaire is only accessible by boat, usually a water taxi departing from Kralendijk. On the east side of Bonaire lies Lac Bay, a large, shallow lagoon with Sorobon Beach. The water here is rarely deeper than about a meter and is protected by a reef, resulting in minimal wave action. This has made the area one of the most famous windsurfing spots in the Caribbean for years, with a virtually constant trade wind and several windsurfing schools on the beach. Even if you don't windsurf yourself, Sorobon is a great place to swim or just relax on the beach, with a few restaurants and beach loungers nearby. In Washington Slagbaai National Park are some of Bonaire's most untouched beaches. Boca Slagbaai, on the south end of the park, is a tranquil bay with historic yellow plantation-era buildings in the background and is generally a bit calmer than the beaches farther into the park. Playa Funchi and Playa Frans are deeper into the park and are rougher, often with some waves and coral pieces on the beach.
