The Nature and Culture Safari is all about personal contact. In a friendly atmosphere you will be taken to the beautiful nature of Curaçao. You end up on a beautiful bounty beach on the south side of the island, but first the trip goes to the breathtaking rugged nature of the north side. All kinds of fun facts are told along the way and you can of course ask questions.
After leaving Barber (Banda Bou / west side of the island), the Nature and Culture Safari passes through the mondi (forest) on the inhospitable north coast. This is easy with the prepared John Deere Gator, the turquoise buggy, which is suitable for the difficult back roads that you cannot reach with a standard (rental) car. After this you drive through the interior (here we call this: kunuku) of Curaçao where you get a good idea of rural life on Banda Abou. Along the way you can enjoy the view of a beautiful hill on which the divi divi tree grows, which was the subject of a well-known Dutch hit in the 1970s.

The last stop is at a lovely private beach on the south coast, Shon Mosa. Here you can sunbathe or cool off in the water. Bring diving goggles and a snorkel because the coral here is impressive.
After a last look, the return journey begins to the starting point where a light lunch awaits at a local restaurant. Don't be shocked if the Prime Minister joins us. The tour ends around 1:15 PM.
We took an amazing safari tour through the lesser-known parts of Banda Abou. Even the two former locals on board visited places they had little or no idea of. Afterward, we took a boat trip along the coast and snorkeled at the unforgettable Blue Room (cave). After the return trip, a delicious and varied barbecue awaited us at a beautiful private beach, where we enjoyed the meal, the company, and the sunset. According to our hosts, we were the first to complete this triathlon. We highly recommend it.
We had a fantastic tour today with Arie Jan and Peter from Banda Abou Tours. We've been living on the island for a year and a half now, but we saw and heard so many new things. These two men do their work with great pleasure and passion, and it shows. No routine, regurgitated stories, but enthusiastic narration and fun facts, like a short music quiz. Finally, we enjoyed a barbecue on a deserted beach with a beautiful sunset. Highly recommended if you enjoy venturing off the beaten track.

A warm welcome from Peter at Fontein. After a brief explanation, we set off with the gators.
First a stretch of asphalt, then into the kunuku. Beautiful! You'll reach places you can't reach by car. Along the way, we'll share interesting facts about the island. At the end of the afternoon, we'll drive to a lovely beach where we snorkeled. Meanwhile, the BBQ will be prepared. We'll have a barbecue in a place you're normally not allowed to go and watch the sunset!
